Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge in a busy hospital setting? Are you keen on working with a wide range of professionals alongside a multi-national team of Physiotherapists? Then we want you to work in our inpatient team at Waitakere Hospital.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Physiotherapist to work across our acute medical and ED/ADU services at Waitakere Hospital. This role will complement our strong team of acute medical Physiotherapists, providing guidance and mentoring for rotational staff, whilst delivering quality assessments and interventions for complex medical and ED/ADU patients across the inpatient wards.

Waitematā is leading the way in the Northern region for digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e-prescribing and e-vitals. We have strong links with our community and outpatient services with excellent interdisciplinary team work across services.

Key requirements of this role:

  • Current NZ physiotherapy registration and APC
  • 5 or more years of relevant inpatient clinical experience, with at least 2 years’ respiratory experience
  • Strong role model and effective leadership skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Evidence based assessment and treatment skills with excellent time management skills
  • Experience in service development and quality improvement projects
  • Participation in weekend and on-call roster
