Senior Physiotherapist -Permanent, Full Time

  • Inpatient Physiotherapist: Senior Critical Care
  • Full-time 1.0 FTE permanent  
  • (40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday)

We want you to work in our inpatient team at North Shore Hospital!

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Physiotherapist to work across the critical care continuum in our acute medical, surgical and ICU/HDU services at North Shore Hospital.

You will be part of an experienced group of senior clinicians providing guidance and mentoring for rotational staff while providing quality assessments and interventions for complex and critically unwell medical, orthopaedic and surgical patients both within the ICU/HDU setting and across the inpatient wards. You will work collaboratively with current Advanced Clinicians, Senior Clinicians and Regional Critical Care Educators to deliver optimal care and service delivery across the Critical Care Continuum.

Key requirements of this role:

  • Current NZ physiotherapy registration and APC
  • 5 or more years of relevant inpatient clinical experience, preferably recent experience within critical care/ICU
  • Strong role model and effective leadership skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Evidence based assessment and treatment skills with excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience in the management of patients with tracheostomies and on mechanical ventilation
  • Participation in weekend and on-call roster

  • Salary range: $114,000 – $119,000 (DA3-DB3)
