Then we want you to join our Physiotherapy Clinical coach team!

We are seeking another dynamic, highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Clinical Coach team working across both North Shore and Waitakere Hospital sites.

Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Waitematā is leading the way in digital innovation with electronic patient notes, e prescribing and e-vitals as well as strong links with our community and outpatient services.

Key skills and attributes for this role:

  • NZ registered Physiotherapist with current APC & 5+ years relevant inpatient experience
  • Existing coaching/educator experience and proven advanced clinical expertise in several clinical areas.
  • Excellent assessment and time management skills
  • Strong role model with advanced communication and leadership skills to work alongside staff to support and develop their clinical reasoning and autonomy.
  • Enable a high standard of physiotherapy care and service delivery through professional growth of staff using adult learning modules.
  • Experience in service development and quality improvement projects.
  • Excellent team work skills to ensure that staff cultivates a patient centred and evidenced based approach to their practice.
  • Participation in our Physiotherapy weekend and on-call roster: 3 weekend days per 3 months.

This will include:

  • Support of your personal objectives
  • Education to promote staff with professional development, foster service development and lead quality care
  • Training to provide professional supervision to staff
  • Credentialing for weekend work
  • Weekly in-service training
  • Networking with clinical leaders, advanced clinicians, seniors, other clinical coaches, and staff grades across the organisation
  • Regular individual professional supervision for support and mentoring
  • Opportunities to be involved in teaching and training for non-Allied Health staff

  • Permanent Part time employment (16hrs/week)
  • Preferred working schedule:
    • 2x 8hr days (can be negotiable) must include a Wednesday.
    • The role is based across sites and must include a shift at Waitakere Hospital
  • Dedicated salary step DA3 – DB3: $114 000 – 119 000

The clinical areas covered are varied; they include acute neurology, rehabilitation, medical, surgical and orthopaedic wards. The work is often complex, including social and discharge planning needs, thus the successful candidate requires strong coaching skills to aid the team to manage caseloads in a busy and pressured environment.
