We have an exciting opportunity for a senior Physiotherapist to take on a role for the planning, co-ordination, continuous improvement of, and access to student placement and education for Physiotherapy. This role also contributes to the development of interprofessional learning opportunities for students and the development, coordination & delivery of entry to practice programmes at Counties Manukau District for Allied Health Scientific and Technical professions.

We are seeking a Physiotherapist with well-established clinical knowledge and skills. Previous experience of supervising staff and students is preferable. Familiarity with Physiotherapy tertiary education programmes and interprofessional education is an advantage, although not essential.

Essential:

  • NZ Registered with Physiotherapy Board with current practising certificate
  • Minimum of 4 years clinical experience in a range of clinical settings
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of physiotherapy clinical supervision
  • Highly developed communication skills and cultural awareness
  • Ability to work co-operatively with a wide range of people
  • Passion for student education & Physiotherapy

Desired:

  • Post Graduate Clinical teaching qualification
  • Familiarity with the Physiotherapy curriculum
  • Knowledge of interprofessional education
  • Completion of Supervision/preceptorship training
