Mō te tūnga | About the role

As a New Graduate Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to work across the major hospital specialties and advance your cardio-respiratory, neurology, general rehabilitation, and orthopaedic/musculoskeletal skills. The range of options available encompass rotations in an acute setting at Christchurch Hospital, within Specialist Mental Health, and rotations in a rehabilitation environment at Burwood Hospital. These clinical opportunities will develop your assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and discharge planning skills to the maximum.

We can offer you dedicated clinical supervision, mentoring and professional support from highly skilled staff, with an excellent program of orientation and training to our After Hours Service (rostered weekends and on-call). Internal training programmes run frequently within all areas of practice and are complimented by access to external training opportunities as they arise.

We’re looking now for New Graduate Physiotherapists who will have an Annual Practicing Certificate by January 2025.

  • Undertaking expert assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services.
  • Helping supervise students and providing mentorship to junior colleagues as your experience level progresses

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Inpatient experience across the tertiary care environment;
  • The ability to work collaboratively
